fnatic defeated North 3-1 (16-9 Overpass, 17-19 Cache, 16-11 Cobblestone, 19-16 Inferno) to keep their spot in ECS.

Due to losing their spot in the league after switching from dignitas to North, Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen's squad needed to qualify for ECS through the Development League and by winning the promotional match.

The Danes took the first place in the Development league, leaving teams such as Gambit and Kinguin behind them, and booked a BO5 match with fnatic to earn the promotion into ECS Season 3.

olofmeister had 20+ kills in all four maps

The series started with Overpass and a comfortable 16-9 win for fnatic, with Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer showing good form right from the start. The map North isn't that well known for, Cache, went in their favor as they took an overtime win, but they couldn't get it going on the CT side of Cobblestone and lost the third map 11-16.

With fnatic a map away from winning the match, the series moved on to Inferno where both teams had strong CT sides. North got the lead at the end, but 15-14 up, they weren't able to close out the map against a force buy—as their A-site defense failed once again.

In overtime, fnatic was able to take two Terrorist side rounds and seal the deal with a 19-16 scoreline.
